Biogas - the renewable fuel

Biogas is a renewable fuel produced through the digestion of waste and residues such as food scraps, wastewater, plant residues and fertilisers. The fuel, which consists mainly of methane, is mainly used for the production of heat, electricity and vehicle gas, but biogas has also been shown to have properties that are useful in industrial activities.

Biogas has become a popular substitute for fossil fuels. Thanks to its ability to enable more precise process control, it increases the efficiency of industrial production. Biogas is created during natural decomposition processes, which also generates lower carbon dioxide emissions than the formation of fossil fuels.

Service partner to market-leading biogas plants

Thanks to our extensive knowledge and experience in pressurised plants, we at GDA Sweden have been given the opportunity to assist with project management, installation and modernisation of new and existing biogas plants. With solid experience in compressor and high-pressure technology, we are responsible for service, inspection and maintenance for players such as ST1 biogas, OG Clean Fuels, Gasum and Nordic Gas Solutions.

As biogas is developed and produced under demanding conditions, it is of great importance that the production is monitored and maintained in a correct manner in order to maintain a high level of operational reliability. Our technicians provide 24-hour standby for unmanned stations in southern and western Sweden.
